About Me

I was very fortunate to grow up in a musically active family with a professional keyboard playing Dad and a tour managing Mom. Having their support was imperative to my musical growth, especially for dealing with all the noise I made in the attic growing up!

I began lessons with my first instructor Chris Cotter in West Chester, PA shortly after getting my first drum set at age 8. I spent nearly 10 years with Chris before taking lessons with his former instructor, Fred Biondi, in Kennett Square, PA. I gained Rock, Funk, Hip-Hop, and Reggae playing experience with Chris, and with Fred I was able to tackle my weaknesses, or rather ‘lack of experience’, in Jazz and World Styles. It was during these lessons that I had one of the greatest epiphanies of my life that would contribute greatly to my musical growth and to my eventual teaching philosophy; “I can truly overcome any musical challenge I set my mind to. And if I can, anyone can.”

I was accepted to Berklee College of Music and completed the Performance Major for Drum Set from 2008-2012 with incredible professors. Privately, I worked with Rod Morgenstein (Winger, Dixie Dregs), Dave DiCenso (Josh Groban, Duran Duran, Hiromi), and Mike Mangini (Dream Theater, Steve Vai).

Since graduating from Berklee I’ve recorded and/or toured nationally/internationally with Chuggernaut, Replacire, Wilderun, Sonic Symphony, Capcom Live!, VGO - Video Game Orchestra, Yoko Shimomura, Masahiro "Godspeed" Aoki, thebishopgame, Paco Higdon, White Flash, MARIS, and more.

The Fall semester of 2021 marked my return to Berklee as an Assistant Professor for the Percussion Department as well as Adjunct Faculty for the Ensemble Department. I continue to teach both at Berklee and privately.
